Ishnabobber’s quest continues.
Ishnabobber, the adorable lighthouse, continues his journey to learn how to shine brighter in the second book of the three-book Discovery Series. Who is Jesus picks up where How Can I Shine Brighter (link below) ends. Even though he doesn’t like to read, Ishnabobber is willing to do what it takes to learn how to make his light shine brighter. He begins to read the Bible as his friend suggested.
Author Susan Anderson and illustrator Traci Allison team up again for a winning combination of absorbing text and delightful illustrations. As Ishnabobber reads his way through the Old Testament, he learns about Creation, sin, and God’s law. All this is interesting, but Ishnabobber’s really anxious to learn who Jesus is. Finally he learns that Jesus is God’s son and maybe now he can learn how to shine his light brighter. We’ll find out if he can when we read the third and final book. As in the first book, the supplemental coloring page, word search, bible verses, and thought-provoking questions for both children and adults are wonderful bonuses.
Reading this Discovery series in order is critical to understanding the journey. Also, reading all three books is necessary in order to see if Ishnabobber’s original quest to shine his light brighter is fulfilled. Books 2 and 3 are continuations of the original quest.

Children's books 'A New Friend for Gilbert' and the Dominick the Donkey 2-part series are based on real animals and events at RVR.
