Paul’s letter to Titus was from one missionary to another, but Jeff Dodge’s Titus Bible Study doesn’t only apply to missionaries or church leaders. The challenges these men faced are still pertinent today and can teach us to become better Christians, but more importantly, better Christian leaders, regardless of our role in society.
The short letter to Titus is covered in seven Bible Study segments. The focus of each is based on a ‘truth’ of the Gospel, ranging from Truth & Leadership, to Truth & Godly Living, to Truth & Devotion. Bible Study participants learn that Gospel teaching has huge implications for how we live daily. The focus is on daily Christian living and isn’t an analytical or historical dissection of the letter.
This study is made to benefit a group. No prep or homework is required of the participants. Each of the seven one-hour lessons includes a Big Idea, a Bible conversation, an article that expands on the topic, discussion and exercise, and wrap up and prayer. The target time is one hour, but could easily be extended based on the involvement of group members.

The Titus Study Guide includes Leader’s Notes per lesson. They’re meant to be read by the leader beforehand but not relied upon. The key is working through the process as a group and not relying on the leader notes as the ‘answer’.
Titus Bible Study Guide with Leader Notes is one in the series of The Gospel-Centered Life in the Bible, published by New Growth Press. Jeff Dodge is the primary author of this book in the series.
How this book affected me:
I’m definitely not a missionary and far from being a church leader, but I found this Bible Study to be both pertinent and interesting. It encouraged me to keep pursuing evangelism in my online ministry, even if it’s outside my comfort zone.
Who would enjoy this book:
Any group that wants to share and apply the Gospel would enjoy this study. Anyone who’s interested to try leading a study would find everything they need with this Titus Bible Study, but also any others in this series.
