This Is the World that God Built is a retelling of the biblical creation story. A riff on the familiar nursery rhyme "This Is the House that Jack Built," the story uses the cumulative tale format to build from Day One of creation, when God split light from the darkness, through Day Seven, when God rested from his work. The book follows the biblical account of creation using simple rhyming verses and vivid illustrations sure…

Author Amy Nichols’ children’s book This is the World That God Built is a beautiful, whimsical, and memorable Creation Story. The story uses rhyme and repetition to describe each of the seven days that God took to create the world.

The cumulative nature of the story is delightful to read, similar to There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly or The House that Jack Built. Illustrator Ekaterina Ilina’s brilliant, full spreads are paired beautifully with the story.

This is the World That God Built would easily become a family favorite and a wonderful conversation-starter about creation for little Christians. It’s available in ebook, softcover, and hardcover formats. A hardcover would make a fabulous gift for a little Christian or be suitable for a home, school, or church library.

Reference material at the end of the book includes ‘creation’ Bible verses that can be used for classroom lessons or one-on-one discussions.
