60 days of Christian empowerment
Author Holley Gerth’s Strong Brave Loved – Empowering Reminders of Who You Really Are is a journey of encouragement for women. The 60 daily topics cover the struggles, bumps, and roadblocks that most women face in their daily lives. Each opens with a Scripture that relates to the topic and closes with encouragement to apply changes needed to the reader’s life.
The few-page devotionals cover heartfelt situations and struggles that are relatable to anyone who’s ever felt less than strong, brave, or loved. Emerge from reading Strong Brave Loved with the determination of a Warrior Princess. However, Ms. Gerth’s lessons teach us that our strength and bravery don’t come from our own initiative, but from our reliance on a solid relationship with God.
With her easy and relatable writing style and topics, Ms. Gerth feels like the friend you’d love to have. This book is a follow-up to her prior book Fiercehearted. She shares tidbits from Fiercehearted at the end of each devotional.
As a book reviewer, I didn’t have the luxury of reading Strong Brave Loved as intended, over the course of 60 days. I’m certain that spending the time to digest each topic and make a concerted effort to apply pertinent topics to my life would be worthwhile.
Anyone who’s feeling less than strong, brave, or loved would benefit from this book. It would make a good gift for someone who’s going through a particularly tough time.

Shirley Alarie began writing adult and children's books to benefit two causes she loves. 'Hope in the Hood' portrays the incredible story of Colleen Adams providing hope and help to disenfranchised inner-city youth. 'A Healing Haven' showcases the amazing work of Shawn Jayroe and her incredible volunteers at RVR Horse Rescue. Children's books 'A New Friend for Gilbert' and the Dominick the Donkey 2-part series are based on real animals and events at RVR. Now Shirley writes for Jesus - including children's books, her FindingGodAmongUs blog, and as a Christian adult and children's book reviewer.
